INNEON, Network for Eco-Innovation Investment

The INNEON network for eco-innovation investment aims to extend public and private funding sources available for eco-innovation and social innovation in Europe, and provide a unique forum dedicated to the interaction between a select cohort of innovators and relevant investors. Eco-innovation is a fast and growing market in EU and globally.

 An early warning system for earthquakes

Speaker: Mr. Constantin Ionescu, general director at the National Institute for Earth Physics.

The mission of the National Institute for Earth Physics (NIEP) is:

• Monitoring of seismic activity in Romania
• Expansion of the boundaries of scientific knowledge, its creativity and efficiency increase through fundamental and applied researches in Earth physics domain, in general, and seismology domain, in particular.

Extreme Light Infrastructure, Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP)

To be built in Bucharest-Magurele, ELI-NP will be one of the three pillars of ELI – THE EXTREME LIGHT INFRASTRUCTURE, along with the facilities dedicated to the study of secondary sources (Dolni Brezany, near Prague) and attosecond pulses (Szeged).
ELI-NP is a very complex facility which will host two machines of extreme performances.

Pitching sessions in ROOM 2 and ROOM 3

Start-up entrepreneurs will pitch their business idea to Romanian and European investors and jurors with experience in various fields. Entrepreneurs will get valuable feedback from experts and find out if their business ideas have the potential to get off the ground.
