“Gara de Nord” Train Station

Gara de Nord BucurestiBucharest North railway station (Romanian: București Gara de Nord) is the main railway station in Bucharest and the largest railway station in Romania. The vast majority of mainline trains to and from Bucharest originate from Gara de Nord.

Taxi:

Authorized taxis are stationed at the “Columns” entrance of the “Gara de Nord” railway station. At the moment of the publication of this guide (January 2015), the average cost/ km is around. 0.5 EUR/ km.

The actual cost of a taxi ride may vary also due to temporary traffic restrictions, but an average cost from Gara de Nord to the venue of the conference should be a little more than 10 Romanian Lei / 2.2 EUR.

Attention! Do not let yourself approached by fake taxi drivers!   Only use taxis stationed at the “Coloane” area, preferably from one of the following companies:
