Marcin Wojcicki

Director at Bucharest Stock Exchange

Combines experience of working for a stock and derivatives exchange with proprietary trading for an investment bank. He joined Bucharest Stock Exchange in February 2014 and currently holds a position of the Director. Marcin is responsible for the acquisition of issuers for Bucharest Stock Exchange as well as for Reseach and Analysis. Marcin has been one of the key people in launching of AeRO market dedicated to SMEs and start-ups.
He has experience in creating and developing new exchange markets coming from his job at the Warsaw Stock Exchange (1997-2007), where he co-managed the creation of the biggest Cental and Eastern European exchange traded derivatives market, with WIG20 index futures as the main product. Later as Director of Financial Instruments Department he supervised the WSE derivatives market and also successfully initiated the process of acquisition of foreign banks and investment firms to become direct trading members of the exchange. Between 2007-2012 based in Prague where, as Head of Arbitrage Trading at Wood &Company, he created the proprietary trading unit, which arbitraged price differences between multiple listed securities (CEE, Turkey, USA, LSE, Paris) and between equity futures and underlying instruments.
